The first Mehr als vier Wände pilot project was launched in the Main-Taunus district under the title “Participatory development and piloting of approaches for (more) self-administration in shared accommodation.”
The aim is to promote the participation of residents in municipal accommodation and to provide a scientific impact assessment from the side of the universities.
To this end, individual accommodations are to be selected step by step, in each of which steps towards self-administration will be tested on the basis of needs assessments.
The foundation stone was laid on October 1, when a festive event was organized for and with the residents in a first, smaller accommodation facility in the district. The event included a presentation of the pilot project by the district team, gathering feedback, and surveying the residents‘ important needs, ideas, and suggestions for the first steps.
